    Severstallat: Results of the First Six Months of the Year

    The non-consolidated turnover of the enterprise over the first six months of the year amounted to EUR 70,243 mln, which is 35% higher than during the previous year. The non-consolidated EBITDA is EUR 2,171 mln compared to a negative reading of the indicator for the first six months of 2009.

    Severstallat is Severstal’s „Partnership-2010” Laureate

    Witnin the Metalurgist Day Celebration the annual Partnership Award presentation Ceremony was held  in Cherepovec on 16 July. This time, the Ceremony was especially solemn, since it was dated for 55th annviersary celebration of Cherepovec’s Steel Mill – the leader of Severtsal Group. Severstal honored those, who, to the opinion of its several functional directors, remain partners over a long period of time and in any situation. For many, last year became an examination on fortitude. However, at the Hall of Cherepovec Chamber Theater were present those who have passed it with honour.

    Severstallat raises sales by 18 pct, earns EUR 2.6 mln profit in Q1

    Severstallat raised sales by 18 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2010 and made a profit of 1.8 million lats (EUR 2.6 mln) as it recovered from a loss incurred a year ago.

    Corporate finance company “Laika Stars” in collaboration with “Baltic Screen” have listed the Top of the most valuables Latvian enterprises, which consists of 200 national companies with the highest estimated value. JSC “Severstallat” holds in this Top-200 the 56-th place with an estimated value of LVL 33.27 mln (EUR 47.34 mln.).

    Andrey Golubev is appointed as a Chief Financial Officer of JSC Severstallat

    Before this appointment, Mr. Golubev worked as a Head of the Treasury and Finance of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant “Severstal” OJSC. He participated in loans solicitation from the largest financial institutions, such as EBRD – for implementation of energy conservation projects, Sberbank – for financing of Izhorsky Pipe Plant, French and German banks – for purchasing of imported machinery and equipment for Severstal.

    Severstal introduces a new corporate brand identity.

    OAO Severstal introduced a new corporate brand identity to reflect the truly global nature of the company and its status as a leader in the metals and mining industry. The new brand will be used across the entire company, including Latvian JSC Severstallat and in its subsidiary Severstallat-Silesia in Poland.

    AS „SEVERSTALLAT” has registered an additional issue of the company’s shares in the amount of 12.1 million euros. The total share capital of the company now amounts to 12 503 930 LVL.

    On the 7th of November of the year 2008 member of the board and general director of „SEVERSTALLAT", Aleksey Gogunov, signed a contract with the director of „Latvian Investment and Development agency", Andris Ozols, on co-financing of project „Improvement of JSC „SEVERSTALLAT" personnel qualification" that is a part of European  Social Fund`s program „Human resources and employment".
